11.     Aim of the Course

This course is designed for B.Sc. II-semester students, including those from rural areas with limited access to quality teaching materials, provide a fundamental understanding of organic chemistry. It simplifies complex topics like bonding, resonance, and stereochemistry through innovative learning strategies and practical examples, particularly focusing on chirality, optical isomerism, and E/Z configurations. Students will explore the structure, properties, and reactivity of hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes), linking these compounds to real-world applications. The course promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and the integration of technology in education while enhancing skills in chemical nomenclature, structural visualization, and problem-solving to support lifelong learning and readiness for future educational challenges.
