I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Lucknow, with over a decade of experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I have been actively involved in mentoring and guiding students in their academic and research pursuits. In addition to my academic role, I possess substantial expertise in intellectual property rights, having served as an Examiner of Patents and Designs with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. During my tenure, I specialized in the examination and evaluation of patent applications in the domains of chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences.
After completing my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Lucknow in 2011 under the supervision of Dr. Kiran Singhal, where I focused on the synthesis and biological evaluation of organoarsenic and organoantimony compounds, I briefly transitioned from active research to public service. From 2011 to 2013, I served as an Examiner of Patents and Designs at the Indian Patent Office under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. During this period, my responsibilities involved the technical evaluation of patent applications in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences. This professional engagement, while marking a two-year pause in active research, significantly enriched my understanding of intellectual property rights and regulatory frameworks. It has since informed and complemented my ongoing academic research in advanced materials, coordination chemistry, main group metal complexes and environmental remediation.
